The sivananda yoga practice is a 12 asana sequence designed to increase flexibility of the spine and core strength. In Sivanada yoga, relaxation is a vital part of the practice, not a break from it. By starting class in savasana, you'll experience the challenge and value of completely relaxing the body before approaching pranayama (breathing exercises) and a comprehensive asana sequence that includes integral poses such as the forward bend, shoulderstand and headstand.
